I want to wish my husband a happy 46th Birthday xx  seen as he is enjoying his GoPro so much what else was there to make but a GoPro card. We love you loads and hope you have a great day and year xoxoxoox.
To make this I used a card base of  5 and 1/2 x 4 and 1/2" or 14 x 11 cm folded. GoPro screen 1and 1/2 x 2" or 4 x 5 cm. The circles I used measured.... 3 and 1/4", 2 and 1/2", 1 and 3/4", 1 and 1/4" and a 1/2".
This is the GoPro without the outer case on which was a little easier to replicate. If you don't like the hand writing look do all your pieces on the printer, I was going for the home made look here so my hand writing was ok for what I needed. Its not the most perfect thing but I hope this might inspire you to make some of your own cards that suit the hobbies the guys in your life love. Thanks to those who have checked out Dave's YouTube Channel.... if you haven't and would like to go to this link or press on the pic.... please subscribe Dave would love that!  :-) PS sorry for the bad camera angles etc... I still don't have it all set up yet in my new craft space.

Happy Christmas.... a family chat and a couple of cards

Hi all, its been a while since I posted on here..... since Madaleines formal life has been hectic. Ben is still in South America we heard from him up until a few weeks ago. At this stage of their mission trip he has no wifi up the Amazon river building toilets for villages so prayers would be great, a few pics above.... hopefully we will hear from him just after Christmas. Beth did her bit in Bali for red frogs as team leader but unfortunately this year spent a short stay in a Bali hospital with the flu, thankfully she was cared for very well and successfully passed that on to us all when she got home..... not so fun. I am thankful God had His hand over her!

We have been busy moving three rooms around in our home to accommodate Beth living with us after her Graduation as she starts her new primary teaching job next year so that meant sacrificing my craft room for a bit.... but hey you do that stuff for your kids. Beth's Graduation weekend was such a great time together and we are so very proud of her finishing well, we did miss having Ben there as a family.  At the same time I have been helping our youngest daughter clear our her room and put things in storage/ pack as she has found a lovely family to au pair in Ireland with for 12 months. Go Mad!! you will have the adventure of your life!

I must say their has been many proud parent moments this year with many mile stones and achievements. Sharing with our kids as they grow, mature and work toward their our adventures has been awesome and we can say with Gods guiding help we did it as parents! thankfully this is not the end just the beginning of many happy family years to come. We are so very proud of you all... Beth, Ben & Madaleine xxx

This year my husband has found a hobby in his GoPro and what he can do with the editing. We love to take it everywhere now. He has made his own YouTube channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCbnfm79RS3AIg8Jy6MfFMgQ?feature=watch so if you'd like to see what we get up to in our spare time please subscribe to his channel he would love that!
So you can imagine now why my crafting has been pretty much on hold. Family def comes first here and precious time together. My tiny play this year with some Christmas cards produced these two.....

you can go to this link of a previous post and read more on how I made the mustaches
http://valitasfreshfolds.blogspot.com.au/2012/05/making-mustache-from-dies-and-punches.html
and Ive really been enjoy my shell collecting lately so I bought these beautiful sets of dies from Impression Obsession... shell and sea gulls. Instead of putting on the red holly berries i replaced them with white pearls. Happy Christmas to all, enjoy your holidays and most importantly cherish every family moment together. xx
Blessings to you

Hi all, wow what an emotional ride this year has been!!  First off I would like to thank you all from the bottom of our hearts for all your donations sent to one mission Brazil for Ben. He was overwhelmed by your generosity and was asked by his organizers how he raised the money so quick.... his responce was all mums great blog follows! also thank you to our local friends who also gave very generously xx he ended up with almost $300 over his $900 goal so thankyou!!
Well our youngest daughter Madaleine finished her last yr 12 exam and had their High school formal earlier this week. Her future plans are all coming together now which as parents is so exciting to see! Our time with family was such a cherished blessing together. I made a card like her dress which has been my little tradition for all our kids and is a twist on the corner folding I have done in the past so I hope you will enjoy my video tutorial below. By the way Madaleine made this dress with the sari fabric her sister bought back from India for her, I think she did a top job! I crochet her hair piece and it all came together really nicely. Ben leaves for Brazil in a week and next is Beth's Uni graduation! .... here are a few snap shots of the Madaleine's big night ...... enjoy!
Blessings to you

Hi all, Thank you to those who have donated to the Brazil One Mission for our son Ben, the total is now at $350 given with only $550 needed to reach his $900 goal! please keep them coming. Please click here for donations https://give.everydayhero.com/au/benjamin-3. In the midst of all this both Beth & Ben are very busy finishing assignments for the end of year and Madaleine is in the middle of her yr 12 HSC exams. Also prayers are needed for the bush fires and families affected in NSW.
Having a play today with some die shapes and sponging and I really liked the effect this gave me..... Using the sizzix bigz die Flower layers #4, some blue ink and a sponge I ended up with a whole flower spray! cool hey! I did hand cut a leaf to put in between but that's easy! Finishing it off with some pearls, glittered centers and a stamp saying. enjoy the video! xx

Moon dust card

Hi, all..... a quick card I threw together this afternoon I'm calling "moon dust" I don't normally make Halloween cards but as I had a request I though this could double for Halloween and maybe an engagement card just change up what you put in the tree! Made with a variety of colored inks, dies from lifestyle crafts called Branches and Birds and using a 1 and 3/4" circle for the moon cut out. A little doodling with a black sharpie for the leaves and some glitter for the moon dust! Sit back and enjoy the video :)
Oh and thanks Lori for the cute card I received in the mail today !

Blessings to you

Open in Mobile App Hi all, my last post was purely aimed at those doing the wrong thing so please don't take offense. On a happier note Ive had the lovely people from all free paper craft add me as a designer so if you have a sec pop over and check it out! :) http://www.allfreepapercrafts.com/Paper-Craft-Designers/Valita-Reynolds-Paper-Craft-Designer
Family has been my priority lately with our youngest daughter madly studying and now starting her HSC Exams for yr 12 and will continue over the next two weeks then her formal. We spent a week just recently with all our kids home on their mid semester breaks and did some camping. Ben will be flying out to Brazil for 6 weeks over Christmas on a mission trip so it was good to spend some time with him. Our oldest daughter graduates in a few weeks from Primary teaching and has secured a job for next year teaching grade 2 just 40 minuets from home. Ive been finishing my puppets and you can now see them in my Etsy store

I'm getting my mind back in paper craft mode so look out! LOL ..... take care and

a NOTICE to all stampin up denonsrtators, paying customers, class teachers

Open in Mobile AppMay I first say I do not aim this at all my subscribers at all please do not take this post that way!!  just those who love to do the wrong thing. It saddens me to even have to contemplate writing this post. I had a recent purchase of my instructions which needed some sorting out with a bungled up delivery. These things are very easily fixed if I am contacted quickly remembering when you purchase you should get an instant download to your email. Please remember I can see how many times you have downloaded your purchase! Now there are many reasons why things can go wrong knowing there are still human hands behind everything even the internet. this dose not happen often though.  Here is a list of the main problems I see....
*If you are paying by echeck this will take a week to clear.
*The email could be in your spam box.
*Your pay-pal email address is different to you regular email address.
*Your computer privacy setting need adjusting.
*People just are not sure how to download something.
*They downloaded it but are not sure where it went on their computer .
*and sometimes cyber space just swallows them up.
Please know I am always happy to help so you are satisfied with your purchase!!
so whats this got to do with stampin up!  keep reading....
All my sales are though an online storage and they send out your purchase by an instant email. If for some reason you don't receive it I don't know this until you contact me. A few people have waited weeks for there download never bothering to contact me and then take out a paypal case to sort it out. That ok .... actually that's good because when they do this paypal sends me an email (alerting me) and it is always the first time I hear of a missing purchase or problem so I can then easily fix it. Now my issue is..... I sent this person as soon as I was alerted by pay pal multiple emails with their purchase plus a freebie for their bother and I'm not real sure whether they even opened any of them... for the mean time they sent me a message through paypal saying "Never mind. I got the Australian Flower downland. I have the Swan from someone in my Stampin up class, yesterday. So just let it go. I am. Lesson learned for me." Ok so I could say that's great or hang on this person has only purchased one thing from me (the swan) as I can see this in my purchase history and its not an Australian Flower (which by the way was not the freebie I sent)...... anyone seeing the picture come together yet!I don't know whether this was from a teacher or student but the principle is the same.
I have never once had anyone including stampin up demonstrators purchase group rates from me for their classes. If you are at a stampin up class or any class for that matter and they charge you for my instructions..... basically they are stealing from me. Your class teacher or anyone for that matter should only be giving out a link to my blog for your own instruction purchases. I always knew this would be happening it was just a matter of time that someone would spill the beans in some way. I am very aware that once its out there on the net its pretty much out of my control. but it seems its just another disappointing connection with Stampin up ....please remember the respect of the designer. Thank you to those who have given out my link and done the right thing....Shame on those that do the wrong thing!

Blessings to you

Important notice about my instruction sets

Open in Mobile App

Hi all, as you may or may not be aware Stampin up has discontinued their blossom petals punch which is such a shame!!! this was a very versatile punch. I'm afraid Stampin up is one of those company's Ive watched over the years that is constantly changing their stock which make you and the demonstrator buy buy buy all the time and they make the huge $$$. This has affected my instruction sales pretty bad, so Ive had to think what I would do with the many instructional sets I have for sale that included this punch....... leave them as they are, take them down off the blog or edit them. I still wanted to make them available for you so my decision was to edit & design a set of petals that are similar to the punch. These will be in a pdf called "Blossom petals punch info replacement petals template" and when you purchase an instruction set that required the blossom petals punch you will also receive the new free template download. I hope you will be happy with this decision. Below is a list of the instruction sets I have for sale that previously needed the blossom petals punch. So in a sense this works out cheaper for you! NO expensive punch is now needed to make these designs! The new templates are hand cut.... but don't be afraid of this its so easy..... below is my instructional video how to do this the easy way. I have also updated each blog post instruction set that used this punch and explained all the details. I hope you will like the decision I made and this will be helpful to many.
Blessings to you

I believe this punch is available for a short time on clearance, I cant put any one link to it you would have your find own demonstrator

Enjoying our eldest daughters birthday has been great! being able to spend some time together while she is doing her teaching prac has been super busy but a blessing to us all. So today's card is a rainbow to suit her cake. I don't own a rainbow die so you know me I will find another way to make one ;)  made with circle dies and a 3/4" punch for the center. The clouds were made with circles......... 1 and 1/4, 1", 3/4" & 1/2" I did some background sponging with two different scallops glued together and finished it with some mini hearts and a little glitter on the clouds. The cake was fun to make and messy too, but I love colour mess! you can find the details for the cake here. Rainbow Pinata cake

I hope you enjoy! sit back now and watch the video :)
